Airdate: The Couple Next Door

New six-part thriller The Couple Next Door, starring Sam Heughan (Outlander), will premiere this Friday on Binge and Foxtel.

Described as a deliciously dark, psychological drama, explores the stultifying claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your darkest desires.

It also features Eleanor Tomlinson (The Outlaws, Poldark), Aussie actress Jessica De Gouw (Pennyworth, The Secrets She Keeps) and Alfred Enoch (Harry Potter, How To Get Away with Murder).

When Evie (Tomlinson) and Pete (Enoch) move into an upscale neighbourhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. Soon, they find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Heughan) and his wife, wellness hottie Becka (De Gouw). But before they know it, things get very out of control.

Loosely adapted from the Dutch series New Neighbours the series is written by David Allison (Marcella, Bedlam), directed by award winning director Dries Vos (Suspect, Professor T), Series Produced by Jen Burnet, and is Executive Produced by Jo McGrath, Walter Iuzzolino and Alison Kee. The series is produced by Eagle Eye Drama and distributed worldwide by its international partner Beta Film.
