NITV next week screens a doco series, Burn Gently, which centres around the Australian hip hop scene.

Burn Gently is an exploration into the ins and outs of the Australian music industry, its growth, pressures, expectations and hardships, its success and failings; all through the lens of some of the most influential artists in Australian hip hop.

Episode One:
Starting with a bang, Burn Gently establishes the history of hip hop within Australia, drawing on influences from emerging acts, the community response to the artform, the music industry’s influence and some breakout names that saw the culture break barriers into mainstream consumption and interaction.
