Awesome to see The Bear and Succession getting nods.
I’m just stunned that Jamie Lee Curtis has been totally overlooked for her crushing performance in episode six of the latest season of The Bear. I was mesmerised. She completely disappeared into her character and was somehow very hard to watch as she spiraled out of control. Just magic.
The Emma’s just can’t grasp a half hour drama. The Bear deserves all its awards (and for the Christmas episode alone) and is very funny at times but it’s not a comedy. Comedy drama perhaps – but I’d say The White Lotus pushes things for laughs more.
Wow. Some great montages (75 TV moments) and cast reunions. Hope Logies Producers were watching and taking notes!
This was a good show!!! Great pace, great reunions, the bits were short and cute, and Anthony Anderson did in excellent job!
The In Memoriam gave me the feels!
Very well done
Loved some of the reunions for the tv show themes especially ally Mcbeal.
All the feels when they sang I’ll be there for you and Matthew perry in the memorandum.
The mother of the host bit was not a good choice and very annoying, didn’t even know the host either.
Overall a good show.
How is The Bear a comedy? What’s the criteria? Do they just nominate themselves in a category? I just don’t see it. And I love The Bear.
What a joy to see Sarah Snook win three prizes in 9 days! Great talent, and quite clear how close she was to the cast. Great to see Kieran and Matthew win too. I liked Roman’ the least in Series 1, but during the final season I was so enamored by Culkin’s transformation and incredible performance. That’s no mean feat along side that cast.
Queen Sarah! Go the Aussies
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to host every year please until the end of time.
Agreed. Or fly in Sam Pang.
I realize that some in the audience are away from their seats for presenting, receiving award or nature calls but seems to be loads of empty seats in the audience.
Yes it happens when you realise your category is done and dusted.
They should have employed more seat fillers. Where’s Kramer when you need him?
The Anthony Anderson mum bit is falling flat and very cringe. And the presenters seem to be getting more time than the winners speech which is pretty poor.
Surprised that Sandra Oh was not part of the Greys reunion bit, she has been at every other awards ceremony so far including the Critics Choice yesterday…
I dont think Elizabeth Debecki losing was such a shock as others are saying as it was based on last season as these awards are from performances of more than 6 months ago
And yes Carol Burnett is simply the best; legend. Icon. Trail blazer.
Big Bang Theory’s Holland Taylor and Jon Cryer present…. I guess jury still out on Charlie
Know that you are busy but I think you meant Two & a Half Men
I’m with you DK on the ‘Wow’s’. The reuniting of casts is a nice idea, and the sets but a lot of work for little reward i thought with the Cheers one. I know they couldn’t help the recipient not being there, but it looked awkward. And where was Shelly Long or Bebe Neuwirth? Wouldn’t loved to see them.
