Police officer to be charged with double murder, search continues.

A 28-year-old police officer is set to be charged following the disappearance of Jesse Baird & Luke Davies.

A 28-year-old police officer is set to be charged with two counts of murder, after Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies disappeared from the city’s eastern suburbs earlier this week, police say.

Detectives were searching for NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre and a white van after the two men were last officially seen in Paddington on Monday evening.

Mr Lamarre presented himself to Bondi Police station shortly after 10:30am on Friday.

He will be formally refused bail by police and is expected to face court today or tomorrow.

Detectives located a projectile which has been discharged which was matched to a police firearm.

Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty said the loved ones of Luke Davies and former 10 reporter Jessie Baird have just been informed they have been killed, but police are yet to locate them.

Police allege Lamarre, who is currently assisting police with their inquires at Waverley Police Station, used a white van he drove to Newcastle to dispose of the bodies.

Beau Lamarre, previously a celebrity blogger, had been in a relationship with Jesse Baird which ended several months ago. But Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty said he couldn’t confirm a motive before charges were to be laid.

“We allege the 28-year-old male is solely responsible,” Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty said.

Luke Davies, 29, and Jesse Baird, 26, were last officially seen on Monday evening in Paddington, and police held “grave concerns” after a “significant” amount of blood was found in Mr Baird’s Brown Street home.

The search of the house was prompted after a worker putting rubbish into a skip-bin in Cronulla on Wednesday found a number of bloodied items “that appeared to be unusual,” Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore said.

Jesse Baird (pictured right) worked for Network 10 for more than seven years, including reporting with Studio 10 and presenting Totally Wild, while his boyfriend, Mr Davies, worked full-time as a Qantas flight attendant.
