Legal battle over alleged Block injury

An electrician who worked on The Block 2021 is suing Nine over an alleged injury.

The Sunday Herald-Sun reports Melbourne electrician Leigh Roberts was working as a contractor on the Hampton based series when he was allegedly electrocuted on or about March 24, 2021.

He alleges in County Court documents that the resulting injuries from the incident included stress, anxiety and depression.

It is claimed he has sustained injury, loss and damage as a result of the breach of duty by Nine and is seeking damages and costs.

The article notes he returned to work a day later, but claims he has not been able to work properly since.

There is no suggestion contestants were involved.

Nine declined to comment.
