22 Charming Street Hampton, which was renovated and sold on The Block last year for a whopping $4.3m, has been sold at auction for $3,245,000 -a loss of 1.055m.

The home renovated by Eliza & Liberty finished second in the 2023 series and was purchased by  Adrian Portelli aka “Lambo Guy.” He initially tried to giveaway the house on his promotion platform, but the winner opted for prize money of $2 million instead.

According to Domain an auction on the weekend was listed with a token reserve price of $1, and drew 208 registrations of interest, 178 who expressed interest in bidding online and 30 in person.

Ray White Sunbury’s Aaron Hill said the home came furnished with appliances and has never been slept in.

When the price reached $3,050,000, Portelli called out “I’ll leave the coffee machine in there!” to the enthusiastic crowd.

At $3.16 million, auctioneer Tom Panos asked Portelli: “Happy with the price?”

“Let it go!” Portelli said, with a wave of his hand.

Block renovators Eliza and Liberty, who renovated the home on the TV show, gave buyers Simon Farkona-Adams and Betty Lee a tour of their new home.

House 2, renovated by Leah and Ash, sold for $3.125 million, it was reported in February, after being passed in during auction.

The Block‘s 20th season is currently filming on Phillip Island amid reports one team left the show and was replaced six weeks in.
