Returning: Wide World of Sports

Nine has rebranded its Sports Sunday programme as Wide World of Sports with its first panel for 2024 today.

Host Roz Kelly is joined by former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor, Australia’s most successful paralympian, Ellie Cole, and Geelong Cats AFL great, Jimmy Bartel.

We cross live to Las Vegas for the NRL season opener to get the vibe of the historic venture to the United States, with Brad Fittler and Johnathan Thurston live at Allegiant Stadium, while resident sports lover Brad Blanks finds out what Americans think and know about rugby league.

And in a huge Olympic year of big-name guests from across the globe, Wide World of Sports will welcome the biggest name in skateboarding, Tony Hawk, in a special feature interview looking back at his incredible career and previewing the skateboarding competition at the Games in Paris.
