9Now: Australian Open Swimming Championships: April 17 – 20

9Now screens the Australian Open Swimming Championships from the at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre from today.

Matt Welsh, Shane McInnes and Olympian Megan Nay form Nine’s commentary team for the event.

There to lead our national squad as they continue to prepare for Paris 2024 will be world and Olympic champions Kaylee McKeon, Ariarne Titmus, Kyle Chalmers, Elijah Winnington, Mollie O’Callaghan and Cam McEvoy.

Joining them will be Paralympic gold medallists and rising stars, among more than 800 athletes competing at the Championships held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. The event marks a significant part of the Dolphins’ preparation for the Paris Games.

It all begins at 10.00am on Wednesday with world-record holder Kaylee McKeown, Olympic gold medallist Zac Stubblety-Cook, world champions Sam Williamson, Isaac Cooper and Sam Short, and Paris 2024 hopeful Cody Simpson.

Day one is highlighted by a cracking women’s 100m field that includes the best female sprinters in the world: Emma McKeon, Mollie O’Callaghan, Cate and Bronte Campbell, Meg Harris, Ariarne Titmus and Shayna Jack.

Nine’s streaming platform 9Now will present every session of the heats and finals, giving viewers free access to every race.

The Australian Open Championships serve as the lead-up event to the Olympic Swimming Trials which will be held from June 10-15, also available exclusive, live and free on the 9Network.
