I was gobsmacked when Mrs Browns Boys won. Fool me once may have won but Anything put up against Mr Bates didn’t stand a chance. Eastenders should’ve won best serial drama too.
It’s is quite easy why Emmerdale won over Eastenders for awhile in Britain Eastenders has been seen a few fully on very drama soap and depressing with its storylines. In relation to Peter Ash performance it was worth winning as he said they had work with the MND organisations to do the storyline right. You saw the decline in his characters health it wasn’t just all done in 6 months as a average after diagnosis is 2 to 3 years (forgive me if this is wrong).
Outrageous that Emmerdale beat Eastenders in Serial Drama.
And I also question Peter Ash’s win in Serial Drama, it was obvious that Coronation Street timed his death for the week of the NTA’s whilst voting is still open to be fresh in peoples mind. He only had 6 months to live like 12 months ago!!
Angela Wynter has been sublime in all aspects of her performance since she returned to Eastenders and her portrayal of an older woman suffering a sexual assault was outstanding.
Deserved wins for The Traitors, Strictly, The Chase, and 1% Club.
Sorry that Brenda Blethyn never received the recognition at the NTAs which she merited for her portrayal of the tenacious North Eastern detective, Vera, which throughout its run was consistently one of UK television’s highest rated drama serials.
Least worthy winner has to be the insufferable Davina McCall.
Least worthy winner has to be the insufferable Davina McCall…… maybe to you but she has last nearly 30 years in TV plus rhe amount of money she helps to raise for charity…… this is why the honoured her with that around……. so pleased Kata Garraway pucked up her third award
