Airdate: The Kill Point

In December, Movie Extra will screen The Kill Point, an 8 part series that follows a group of U.S. Marines recently returned from serving in Iraq who pull off a major bank heist at a bank in Pittsburgh.

The drama features John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg plus several actors from The Wire including Michael Hyatt, Leo Fitzpatrick and J.D. Williams.

It aired in the US in July 2007 as the first drama on Spike TV, part of the MTV Network aimed at young males.

Movie Extra will air it 9:30pm Sundays throughout December.

“The Kill Point” is a gripping action drama series starring Emmy- Award winning actor, John Leguizamo (Moulin Rouge!; Romeo + Juliet) and Donnie Wahlberg (SAW II,III,IV), original and exclusive to MOVIE EXTRA.

In “The Kill Point”, the action revolves around a downtown Pittsburgh bank robbery orchestrated by a team of American Iraqi-War veterans, lead by the enigmatic “Mr. Wolf” (Leguizamo). When the heist becomes a botch-job, more than a dozen hostages from all walks of life are taken, ranging from the daughter of a business tycoon (Tobin Bell) to an adulterous couple.

Throughout the eight-hour event, viewers will follow the escalating action as the volatile soldiers plot their getaway, the negotiator (Wahlberg) tries to anticipate their moves, and the hostages desperately try to survive.

Time is critical and the game will intensify with surprising twists at every turn.
