A new season of The Hard Times of RJ Berger will begin on MTV later this month.

The series revolves around RJ Berger (Paul Iacono), the unpopular kid at school whose appendage makes him the centre of attention. Shades of a teenage Hung, except with something of a Wonder Years style.

Season 2 will feature such guest stars as Paris Hilton, Weezer, and Vinny Guadagnino from Jersey Shore.

It returns Tuesdays at 9.30pm from July 19th on MTV.

  1. @Benjamin, because all shows have their target audience and this one is obviously aimed towards teenagers. I personally find it amusing but that is probably because I am a teenager.

  2. @ Craig, Nine has the rights to this show. It’s meant to be ‘coming soon’ to GO!, but not sure what their definition of ‘soon’ is though. The rights for MTV shows on FTA is confusing. Seven air Jersey Shore / Teen Wolf, GO! air The Hills / RJ Berger, not sure how that all works…?

    I enjoyed the first season. But why do MTV delay airing it in Australia? Season 2 started in the US on March 24 and has already finished. Anyway, good to see it return nonetheless.

  3. Can someone explain how a show that is so bad as this one, even got a renewal?.

    Interesting choice of guest stars, I wonder if their roles will be either in dream sequences or in really bad scripted scenarios?.

    This & the other 3 shows that Mtv have out here for winter are really bad & as predictable ‘car-crashes’!!.

    Doesn’t MTv any fresh & exciting new shows without having to resort to reshowing old shows from their archives?.
