Revenge is still a dish best served with My Kitchen Rules, as Seven easily took the night once again.
MKR, now winging its way around the country in a third round of domestic cook-offs, topped the evening with 1.81m viewers, followed by Revenge on 1.8m. Seven’s shows led the night with Seven News (1.31m), Today Tonight (1.16m), Home and Away (1.03m), and How I Met Your Mother (754,000) all winning their slots. Happy Endings was 377,000 and Sports Fever was 188,000.
The Big Bang Theory drew a solid crowd for its premiere episode (1.37m) followed by Nine News (1.1m), Big Bang repeats (1.06m / 897,000), ACA (1.03m), Alcatraz (932,000), and Person of Interest (603,000 / 486,000).
The Biggest Loser pulled 879,000 for TEN, its best numbers since its season launch, followed by TEN News (730,000), Bondi Rescue (600,000), NCIS: Â LA (489,000), The Project (462,000) and Hawaii Five-0 (433,000).
Best for ABC1 was ABC News (1.02m), then 7:30 (724,000), Q & A (666,000), Media Watch (626,000), Australian Story (621,000). Four Corners (552,000) also had a separate listing for Syria’s Torture Machine, its featured story, as 546,000 -not sure why….
SBS, which used to be so strong on Mondays, couldn’t rise above 188,000 for World News Australia. Mythbusters was 180,000.
Neighbours topped multichannels on 302,000. Excess Baggage is now at 96,000.
Sunrise: 362,000
Today: 344,000
ABC News Breakfast: 41,000 / 25,000

@Norm – Totally agree. Sports Fever is the best sports show Seven have had for years. Pity it’s on so late.
Sports Fever with Santo, Stan and Jed has been so great. If only it could be on earlier so more people could watch it. Let’s hope 7 doesn’t take action against low its numbers.
“Channel 10 are terrible at marketing their shows.”
Not only that – they often pick terrible timeslots that are either unsuitable or which pitch the show against an established drama with a similar demo, and then they go and bump it later or move it to a different day.
It’s no wonder H50 is only getting 400k+ when it should be comfortably pulling over 600k, enough for it to appear in the Top 20.
@ J Bar I agree H E is enjoyable! How did 7 stuff up its launch? It Only had 5 time slots in 3 weeks!! And then yanked off air for weeks!!
We’re in the routine of watching Biggest Loser, recording MKR and watching that right after Loser. Nine just doesn’t get a look-in during the week in this house.
The numbers for H50 are disappointing. The show rates higher in the US than Revenge.
Channel 10 are terrible at marketing their shows.
Happy Endings deserves better. Too bad Seven stuffed up its launch. It so much funnier than New Girl.
Really hope Thomas and Carla don’t ruin the rest of the week by giving the other teams zero to help themselves.
Thomas deserved a zero last night for wearing those red three-quarter length pants!
Great figures for Revenge….and I am still loving it…but a fairly hefty drop from 2,067,000 last week….
Thanks for the Sports Fever ratings David. Legend. It’s a nice sports show which is thoroughly entertaining for someone who doesn’t even follow sports.
Absolutely love Revenge. And MKR- although Carla and Thomas are horrible. Why are they so angry? The food dished up was bad and deserved those scores. Hope they are eliminated.
I’m surprised by the success of Revenge. I rewatched the first ep, but it still hasn’t grabbed me. I have last nights ep on tape, yet to watch. All I can attribute it to is that there are younger viewers out there, that havn’t seen it all before on Dallas, Dynasty and Melrose Place.
I am absolutely loving MKR this season. I had only watched it occasionally during the last season. This extra round of instant restaurants is brilliant – I love the vindictiveness and the change in attitude of the contenders.
I really dont think Thomas and Carla have what it takes to succeed in the competition. Bring on tonight!!!
Really like Alcatraz. Missed the debut last week but caught it on 9’s catchup, and so I caught the new ep on tv last night. Does seem a bit like Fringe in some ways just with Hurley (from Lost) and Sam Neil, which reminds me what is GO! doing with Fringe? They seemed to have turned into a movie station. Do I need to hunt down Fringe by other means now?
Watched the replay of Revenge, but it didn’t really grab me, so didn’t catch the second ep last night.
@jimbo k – Bondi Vet wasn’t on last night. It is on Tuesdays. I like Bondi Vet. Not much of a fan of Bondi Rescue though.
David, can you confirm that the bloke that cooked last night is Kel Knights little brother !!
Seriously, Seven should just delay AGT a few more weeks and put MKR on for some extra time. This proves that people aren’t against the third instant restaurant round.
Glad to see Happy endings back again (6th timeslot now)!!! Anyway try to keep it there Network 7! You are winning the ratings and
Give viewers a chance to follow your shows!
Seven will repeat both Revenge eps at 12pm next Monday against the Oscars.
I wonder when Ten will address the elephant in the room that is The Project?
I know Excess Baggage is on GO! and not a main channel but it must be heart breaking when TBL is getting 9 times the views because TEN had faith in their shows.
Not surprised Alcatraz dropped below the 1 mill mark, just wonder how long before Nine shifts it back to 9:30 time slot?
MKR is absolutely smashing it this year, and deservedly so, it has been great!
Good to see Excess Baggage is also smashing it…hmmm.
Loving Revenge. What an awesome show. 1.8m for Revenge and MKR is a sensational result for Seven. You would expect that MKR will only get stronger as the season progresses too.
NCIA: LA should be on Tuesdays 9.30 after new NCIS like it is everywhere else in the world.
Poor channel Ten. A shame that NCIS LA, Hawaii Five O and Bondi Vet now don’t rate that well on their Monday night schedule.
A bigger dissapointement would be for SBS. Monday nights used to be their big night ”in the spotlight”. Nowadays, it doesn’t make any impact at all.
Great win to Seven, and nice effort to Nine.
It’s actually been great watching Revenge from the start again, few little things i’d missed here & there.
