Nine News cameraman taken to hospital after court attack

A Nine News cameraman was injured this morning outside a local court in Burwood, in inner-western Sydney.

Cameraman Mario Conti was covering a court appearance by a man charged with the murder of Thomas Kelly at Kings Cross.

Afterwards media were filming the accused’s supporters leaving the courtroom when an alleged assault occurred.

Conti was knocked out briefly after hitting his head on the pavement but gained consciousness moments later.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Police are attempting to catch the alleged assailant.
