MasterChef premiere eclipses Lego Masters on Monday
Farmer Wants a Wife tops entertainment. MasterChef debuts second in its timeslot.

Seven’s Farmer Wants a Wife held up strong on Monday against stiff competition, drawing 923,000 in National TV Audience.
That was ahead of the season premiere of MasterChef Australia (776,000), Australian Story (774,000) Lego Masters (728,000), and 7:30 (688,000).
Later Four Corners was 664,000 then Media Watch (645,000), 9-1-1 (410,000), Paramedics (402,000) and A Gentleman in Moscow (219,000).
Seven News topped the night at 1.44m while Home & Away‘s 843,000 was second best in entertainment. The Chase drew 685,000. The Irrational was 132,000.
Nine News averaged 1.24m while A Current Affair (1.05m) and Tipping Point (710,000) both won their slots. Footy Classified averaged 160,000 with 100% Footy at 97,000.
ABC News drew 919,000. A Hard Quiz replay was 394,000 then The Rise & Fall of Boris Johnson (296,000).
The Project scored 375,000 for 10 then Deal or No Deal (338,000) and 10 News First (324,000). FBI: Most Wanted was 115,000.
On SBS it was SBS World News (193,000 / 151,000), Finding Your Roots (110,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (91,000), Secrets of the Tower of London and Mastermind (both 90,000).

That is an astonishing performace from MasterChef for a show in its 16th season. It also won the lucrative 16-39 demographic.
Farmer wants a wife seems to be on top thanks to all the older viewers. Lego and the cooking more popular with younger and middle aged people.
219,000 for A Gentleman In Moscow.
Paramount +: Can’t even give away their shows for free.
Zero promotion for it and it has been on pay TV for a while now-one did have to have some background knowledge in Russian/Soviet history to make much sense of it though.
Masterchef doubled the audience. Tens issue is their lead in show, The Project just is not cutting through.
