TEN is fast-tracking new US mystery-adventure drama Sleepy Hollow within two weeks time.
The new FOX series will premiere just hours after the US, at 9:30pm Tuesday 17th September, directly following Under the Dome.
It stars Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones, Katia Winter.
Ichabod Crane is resurrected and pulled two-and-a-half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to America’s founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the Headless Horseman, who is on a murderous rampage in present day Sleepy Hollow. Starring Tom Mison (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, New Tricks), Orlando Jones (MADtv), Nicole Beharie (Shame).

On the NCIS issue I think it would be sensible for them to replace Under the Dome with NCIS. Stable programming is important.
As for Sleepy Hollow I liked the ad. I would normally be interested in it. There are obstacles against me viewing it. First I’m happy with Person of Interest. If that’s still on then I’m probably not going to give it up unless something goes wrong.
Next they’ll probably put a pop-up during Star Trek. It’ll kill the idea of ever watching it with the Ten Network including repeats. And then even if they repeat it somewhere I could watch and don’t ruin it with Star Trek they might do other stunts during it. Maybe with the watermarks or surprise pop-ups. I give it a 1% chance I’ll be able to watch it on television based on this year. So I don’t even hope for it.
i thought it would have a 9:30 slot because you know… people will get their heads cut off.
Depending on rating for premiere, Sleepy Hollow could take the Tuesday 8.30 slot. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for Ten to move NCIS to 8.30 Wednesday so it too can air just hours after the US rather than the week late. And if they start it on time, I would actually start watching on Ten again.
Under The Dome has 2 episodes left. NCIS will fill the void I would assume when it returns in a couple of weeks.
Sleepy Hollow looks ok but Ten are over exaggerating when they say the next big thing. I highly doubt that. I’d say SHIELD or the blacklist would be higher up the drama ranks than this show.
@ James S
A big assumption that I would highly doubt. NCIS is one of their consistent raters year in, year out and they will not chuck it to the Friday graveyard shift.
That Means NCIS Will air new Episodes on Friday Nights along with NCIS:LA from October.
An assumption….
Perhaps coincidentally 7 is showing The Smurfs: The Legend of Smurfy Hollow this Saturday September 7 at 1pm.
This looked cheesy but good.
Launching a new show at 9.30 is no easy feat, but maybe it will appeal to Under The Dome viewers.
This shows looks great and pairing the premiere with the season finale of Under The Dome is genius! Well done TEN!
