My problem with Wake Up is Mathison, he just isn’t likable at all and something always seems very forced about him. There’s a false, almost arrogant nature to his humour and presenting style that is a real turn off.
The Circle should have never been cancelled.
maxxdude – I disagree about Sam Mac as Ten need to use him more and more. If Wake Up goes to him more and more, people may tune in. But they just ain’t using him
A shame The Project didn’t rate higher. It will brilliant last night.
Time for Ten to wave bye bye to James Mathison. I have tried very hard to stick with Wake Up but it is an absolute snorefest.
Bring on Summer — POIx2, The Mentalist, Psych, Borgen, Prisoners of War, Foyles War, Suits S3 (listed for next Tuesday)!
TBBT eps were all listed as repeats in printed, online and EPGs. Obviously saving an ep and hoping people would tune in regardless.
I have been giving Wake Up a go but find myself drifting back to Sunrise more and more. Particularly this morning, when I turned on Wake Up and there were people dressed up as pirates and talking with pirate voices to advertise a new game . . . I just wanted to see if there was any interesting news, so flicked over to 7 instead . . .you’re losing me Wake Up . .
David,
I tend to agree with your sentiment. I have felt that most offerings in the last month have not been worthwhile. There are a couple of shows that interest me, but I am mostly using ABC, SBS for docos and some Lifestyle from 7two add TAR, Greys and new Mentalist on for summer people switch to other modes if they want ‘new’ content from US shows or enjoy the summer nights.
@poida I agree with you about the creepy factor of James Mathison. Can’t watch him at all…He & Sam Mac need to go…Cmon Ten listen to your audience.
Yeah I agree Josh – The bigger (studio) audience for The Project last night gave the show a much better feel.
Wasn’t one of those Big Bangs meant to be new last night? They were all repeats.
Any wonder new episodes don’t rate like they used to when Nine show them as its too hard to follow when a new one might air!
@Josh777- Agree, The Project was brilliant last night. A shame it never rated much higher.
Wake Up needs a lot of work currently it is pretty rubbish. Hopefully these terrible ratings encourage Boland to take a few more risks over the coming months.
Adding a new presenter or 2 would do this show a world of good!
Those are terrible morning ratings for TEN
New Girl did nothing in the ratings last night. Definitely belongs on Eleven. Homeland will be a 9.30 show next season.
Props to the 25,000 loyal Channel 10 viewers of Wake Up. But James Mathison is too creepy to watch and far less likeable than Kochie or Karl Stefanovic.
Last night episode of The Project with the cast of Anchorman 2 was brilliant. They were in a bigger studio with easily 4 times the usual audience and it was great. Definitely deserved more than 568k.
