TEN Eyewitness News reporter Adam Walters has departed the network, after some 12 months.

The Daily Telegraph reports his departure followed a February report concerning an inquiry held by the Independent Commission Against Corruption. But TEN was forced to issue an on-air apology to former ICAC commissioner David Ipp after implying he was unprofessional.

Walters has recently been covering stories on the greyhound racing ban in NSW, but the article suggests a discussion with TEN News boss John Choueifate resulted in his resignation.

He has previously been a reporter at Nine News, Seven News, The Daily Telegraph and a communications adviser to former NSW Premier Morris Iemma, with Logie and Walkley wins. In 2010 a contentious story on NSW Govt Minister David Campbell led to an ACMA investigation, which was eventually ruled to be in the public interest.

  1. It seems the apology was never required according to this Fairfax report
    theage.com.au/national/nsw/push-to-curb-icacs-power-to-make-corruption-findings-20170703-gx3h8n.html

  2. From when he joined last year:
TEN Network News Director, John Choueifate, said: “I have worked with Adam for over 30 years and he has never let me down.”

    Seems it took 31 years…
I don’t think his style of reporting ever really fit with the Ten News brand TBH.
