Tennis pushes Seven across the line

Ratings: Saturday's Australian Open helped Seven to clinch the week.

Saturday’s Australian Open was good news for Seven, which had been trailing Nine all week.

The matches gave Seven a win and the network took the week. But it was Nine’s One Day Cricket that was ranked as the week’s top sport, at 1.15m viewers.

Seven’s lift saw TEN relegated back to third place, after managing second a week earlier.

    1. “No surprise there, Seven dominated the week thanks to the Australian Open (better than this week last year)…Seven won every night except Sunday”

And from the article….”Saturday’s Australian Open was good news for Seven, which had been trailing Nine all week.”

      1. Tony, I was clearly referring to how Seven won 6 of the 7 nights (some by a bigger margin than others).

As David said, Nine’s cricket on the Sunday set its week up for a big lead.

And in my other comment, Seven lost to Nine the same week last year.
