Freestyle Skiing & Snowboarding World Championships: guide

Eurosport will screen Skiing & Snowboarding World Championships, from the picturesque Spanish mountain range of Sierra Nevada.

From Thursday Eurosport will screen Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding World Championships, from the picturesque Spanish mountain range of Sierra Nevada.

Live and exclusive to Eurosport, the ten-day extravaganza filled with thrills, spills, and backflips, will see some of the world’s most talented skiers and snowboarders compete across 15 exhilarating events. Athletes will go head to head as the competition kicks off with the Snowboarding – Slopestyle Championship event on Thursday 9 March at 12.00am AEDT (Live). With some of Australia’s top talent taking the charge hitting the slopes, expect the record books to be shredded as our young guns hope to make the podium ahead of their ultimate goal, the 2017 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang.

Snowboarding
Snowboarders will compete across six disciplines, including: halfpipe, slopestyle, parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, big air and snowboard cross.
