Nine nabs final Q1 ratings week

MAFS caps off another week for Nine as two weeks of Easter non ratings begin.

Nine has scored another week of ratings as Quarter 1 draws to a close.

Nine led with 30.6% to Seven’s 29.0%.

Married at First Sight was the top rated show of the week at 2.16m national audience for the Sunday episode.

There are two weeks of Easter non-ratings, with survey to resume from Sunday April 7.

2. 7NEWS Monday: National reach 2.1 million, national audience 1.33 million. #1 news program.

4. 7NEWS Wednesday: National reach 2 million, national audience 1.27 million. #1 news program.

6. Australian Idol Sunday: National reach 1.86 million, national audience 862,000. Up 8% on same episode in 2023.
7. AFL Thursday Night Football: National reach 1.83 million, national audience 671,000. #1 sport program. Up 5% on 2023 AFL season average.

Nine:

  • The 9Network claimed seven of the Top 10 programs of the week with People 25-54, GS 18+ and Total People – four episodes of MAFS, The Hundred With Andy Lee, 9News Sunday, 9News, 60 Minutes and A Current Affair.
  • Married at First Sight continues to be the biggest program on Australian TV. Last week it took out the Top 4 rankings with People 25-54, 16-39, GS 18+ and Total People.
  • Sunday’s episode of Married at First Sight was the No.1 program of the week by audience, currently with a Total TV average audience of 2.161 million, including 674,000 on 9Now. This number will increase in the weeks ahead, as the BVOD number continues to build.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news service for the week in the nation’s three largest cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
  • Tipping Point was Australia’s No. 1 afternoon game show with a Total TV National Audience of 606,000 viewers per episode – 20,000 viewers ahead of its 5.00pm game show competition.

  1. So Seven claim The Chase is the number1 game show for each of the 5 nights, and Nine claim Tipping Point as the number1 game show for the week. Can’t both be right. Looking at the stats, Nine won Tuesday and Wednesday. Averaging the 5 nights, Tipping Point is the winner overall.
