[ABC/8:00pm] The New Inventors.

[ABC/8:30pm] Spicks And Specks. The world of music exposed like never before. Comedian Adam Hills leads two teams through different rounds of music-related riddles and games.

[ABC/9:00pm] Extras. First comes the success, then the backlash, and the British press aren’t about to change the rules. Andy (Ricky Gervais) has incurred their wrath and needs an experienced P.R. guru to help him. On the set of his new film, Daniel Radcliffe is trying his staggeringly poor chat-up lines on anything female. Guest stars include Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Diana Rigg, Warwick Davies (Harry Potter), Fern Britain, Phillip Schofield, Judy Finnigan, Richard Madeley, Helen Anderson (London’s Burning). Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, creators of the double Golden Globe winner The Office, returns for a second series of Extras.

[ABC/9:30pm] The Worst Week of My Life. After the adventures of the previous night, Howard (Ben Miller) is excused from the day’s special occasion – watching Dick (Geoffrey Whitehead) get his CBE. Instead, he decides to try to get his sexual harassment case dropped, nearly getting blinded in the process. Following the critically-acclaimed first series, The Worst Week of My Life returns to ABC TV for a second series.

[ABC/10:05pm] At The Movies. Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton take us into the world of cinema. THE GOOD GERMAN – starring Cate Blanchett and George Clooney – Based on the novel by Joseph Kanon and directed by Steven Soderbergh, The Good German is a mystery, a romance and a thriller in the classic film noir tradition, its intimate human dramas playing out against the turbulence of political intrigue on a grand scale. Not only set in 1945, but crafted in the filmmaking techniques of that era, it blends a contemporary sensibility with the distinctive mood and style of movies that stirred the imaginations of post-war audiences. NORBIT – starring Eddie Murphy – in 3 roles… Norbit (Eddie Murphy) has never had it easy. As a baby, he was abandoned on the steps of a Chinese restaurant/orphanage and raised by Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy). Things get worse when he’s forced into marriage by the mean, junk food-chugging queen, Rasputia (Eddie Murphy). Just when Norbit’s hanging by his last thread, his childhood sweetheart, Kate (Thandie Newton), moves back to town. In the comedy “Norbit,” he’ll find that nice guys sometimes finish first. HOW TO EAT FRIED WORMS – During the first day of his new school year, a fifth grade boy squares off against a bully and winds up accepting a dare that could change the balance of power within the class. THE ILLUSIONIST – Directed by Neil Burger and starring Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man, Sideways) In a world where nothing is as it appears, an illusionist and a police inspector face off in a challenge of wills that attempts to determine where reality ends and magic begins…all the while blurring the line between power and corruption, love and devotion, vigilance and mania and ultimately, life and death. BOBBY – Written and Directed by Emilio Estevez, starring Harry Belafonte, Emilio Estevez, Laurence Fishburne, BrianGeraghty, Heather Graham, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Hunt, Joshua Jackson,Lindsay Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, William H. Macy, Demi Moore, Martin Sheen,Christian Slater, Sharon Stone and Elijah Wood. Set on 4th June 1968, Bobby re-imagines one of the most explosively tragic nights in American history. Following the stories of 22 fictional characters in the Ambassador Hotel on the fateful evening that Presidential hopeful Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot, writer/director Emilio Estevez and anaccomplished ensemble cast forge an intimate mosaic of an America careening towards a moment of shattering change – as different characters navigate prejudice, injustice, chaos and their own complicated personal lives, while seeking the last glimmering signs of hope in Kennedy’s idealism + INTERVIEWS FOR BOBBY WITH: Christian Slater, Freddy Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan and Emilio Estevez (Writer/Director).

[Ten/8:30pm] House. “Lines In The Sand.” When doctors are unable to diagnose why a severely autistic boy screams loudly for no apparent reason, House takes the case. As the boy’s condition worsens, it becomes obvious that House relates to the boy because he has no social niceties.

[Ten/9:30pm] Medium. “Profiles in Terror.”

[Seven/8:30pm] Heroes. Chapter Five ‘Hiros’. Confused after losing track of another block of time, Niki finds the police on her doorstep searching for her fugitive husband. Down and out in Vegas, Hiro finally connects with another hero. Peter receives a life-changing message but has to figure out what to do with it. Claire confesses to her father. Guest stars LISA LACKEY, NORA ZEHETNER and MATT LANTER.

[Seven/9:30pm] Prison Break. Map 1213. The brothers finally arrive in Utah, only to discover that they’re not alone. Sucre is left waiting at the altar. C-Note leaps for his life. The Double K Ranch will not give up its secrets easily. Guest starring Australia’s HOLLY VALANCE.

[Seven/10:30pm] 24. 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Pollock, Lennox and Vice President Daniels continue to try to persuade President Palmer of their point of view, while Jack tries to locate Morris. Starring KIEFER SUTHERLAND, MARY LYNN RAJSKUB.

[SBS/10:00pm] Movie: Osama. Written and directed by Siddiq Barmak, this film won the 2003 Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and the AFCAE Award at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. A young girl’s life is devastated by the arrival of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Unable to get work as a young female, but with a mother and grandmother desperate for money and forbidden to work, Osama (Marina Golbahari) disguises herself as a boy and starts to work with a shopkeeper. When the Taliban begin to round up all the boys to send them to a madrassa, Osama knows it is only a matter of time before her true identity is revealed. The subterfuge works for a while, but when she is eventually found out; her punishment is swift and hauntingly dreadful. Also stars Arif Herati, Zubaida Sahar and Mohamad Nader Khadjeh. [SBS/11:30pm] Scorsese On Scorsese. This intriguing documentary provides a remarkable insight into the mind of probably the most critically acclaimed director of recent times.
