Tripping Over over?

No surprises to hear talk that Tripping Over will not be going into a second series, despite hurried talk last year that it would.

The Daily Telegraph says the actors are now all looking for other gigs.

Last year I spoke to the show’s Producer, Andrew Knight, about a second season. He wasn’t getting excited and had a “believe it when I see it” attitude.

There’s no doubting the show was a classy production, but I’m not sure the Network gave it every assistance. It had a big launch but was quickly buffeted about by extended episodes of Thank God You’re Here, with 9pm starts and if my memory serves me correctly, even a week’s rest.

For an ensemble drama that was still laying the foundations of its characters this was a risky move.

One thing is for certain.

Somebody has to get Daniel McPherson back on the telly pleez.
