Micallef’s Newstopia

Very excited to hear Shaun Micallef is developing a news satire show, Newstopia, for SBS.
Micallef is a real talent and his few appearances on Thank God You’re Here really aren’t enough!
If this is anything like the biting Daily News with Jon Stewart then we’re in for a treat.
Newstopia will be co-written by Gary McCaffrie and Michael Ward, both of whom worked on Micallef Tonight and Welcher and Welcher.

Whoever says Shaun Micallef is not funny clearly has no sense of humour whatsoever.
GET A LIFE!!!!!
NEWSTOPIA RULES!!!!!!!
You were not REALLY sorry Micallef
when you blasphemed the Name of Jesus at the beginning of tonight’s programme!Too scared to do it using Muhammad’s or Buddha’s name?!
oh man, i havent laughed that hard since that show that was on before it where the dictator got brain damage from hanging out with thatcher!
and like the bitch i am, i’m addicted. can’t wait for the next episode.
total embarressment to comedy. Not funny. stupid, elementory. When will australian humour get it.understatement, subtilty and the unexpected are the keys to real humour.get it or get off the screen and work in a fruit processing factory. To all those half brained, half life, idiots who write, present and produce this tripe.
Thank God He’s Here.
A few weeks back I bought his box set of ‘the Micallef program’ and I laughed til I cryed. When I’m at work all I can think about is the many sketches that had put me in tears, so to hear Micallef is back for our viewing pleasure on SBS is the best news I’ve heard in months, or is it, yes it is…….. maybe.
YES! its about time he came back with a new series. massive micallef fan here, very excited to hear the news.
any word on a broadcast date?
