Comments Policy

All submitted comments await approval before being published.

Comments are not edited, but published in full. Therefore if there is any statement which I view as crossing a line there is the chance it may not be published. TV Tonight reserves the right to decline any comment.

I’m pretty liberal with the exchange of ideas and opinions, including those that disagree with me, but as the internet is rife with anonymous slagging off, or statements that are defamatory, I’m not interested in hosting a site that participates in sledging or furthers flaming wars … so please be mindful of comments made. One thoughtless phrase can render an entire comment unpublishable.

Similarly if your post is just an anonymous, derogatory or rude comment then it may not be published. Inappropriate ID names may prevent publication.

Please restrict comments to discussion about television. If a post has a link to a non-TV related site it may not be approved. It’s the only way to minimise people pushing their own irrelevant agenda (try your own blog for that).

Kindly refrain from posting specific torrent links, addresses and download info. While I am happy for readers to discuss downloads in principle, I don’t wish to become a re-direction source. I have to deal with networks, guys, so it’s a happy medium. There are messageboards for this sort of info.

Comments considered Spoilers will not be published.

Comments which discriminate or attack based on gender, race, religion, age, sexual preference and similar may not be approved.

If your comments simply reiterate points already made, are off topic or too long it may not be published.

Comments must be posted with a named Blogger ID or Open ID.

TV Tonight reserves the right to amend the Comments Policy.

  1. I hope I haven’t crossed any lines recently, David!! I was getting annoyed with someone’s refusal to listen to reason (and their poor editing skills….!!!).

  2. I watched the New Year’s Day Jam & Jerusalem and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was one of the rare pieces of quality in an otherwise dross-ridden Christmas TV schedule. With a cast of this quality together with a well-written and understated script this series is a hidden gem as was Early Doors, another series that didn’t follow the norm.

  3. Hi Darren

Its a cable produced show in the US hence the odd running time. I’m not aware of any editing.

(PS next time use TV Lounge section?) Cheers.

  4. Hello,

I am looking for an answer to a question, and I thought this is a great place to start.

Do you think that Californication is edited before it is aired on channel 10, with the fact the show only goes for 40 minutes with Ads. I believe it is censored and my wife disagrees.

    What are your thoughts

    Darren
