Eurovision: Germany: "Women Rule the World."

And here is my personal pick for Eurovision 2007!

This swingin’ tune from Roger Cicero is big and brassy and without even knowing what the lyrics mean it totally works. Cicero is smooth with his vocals, delivering a hip, Michael Buble-like performance that would have Sinatra toe-tappin’.

Amid all the EV hands-in-the air songs this is likely to be remembered as “that swingin’ big band song”, creating a point of difference for Germany.

“Frauen regier’n die Welt” means literally “Women Rule the World.”

The lyrics of the song are topical and pay homage to the female gender who commandeer men with a mere look or glance. Personally I’ve always felt men rule the world, but women rule the universe (think about it!). Cicero will sing the final verse in English. It even includes a reference to:

They build up Beckham and topple Clinton, Without even starting a political party.
