Ten’s troubled Thursdays

TEN network will need to make major changes to its Thursday line-up following dire figures this week.

Last night TEN had no show in the nation’s top 15 programmes (ABC had 3). It’s highest rater all night was Law and Order: CI on 795,000.

TEN’s evening share fell below 19%, yet the night before it had 29.9%.

Its 7:30pm Simpsons repeat had 656,000.

Ratings Week 32.

  1. The problem was in the episode they showed of Law and Order – any person familiar with the show, who watched on a regular basis would know that Annabella Sciora had left the show last season, but she was used in the promo.

The very audience they are trying to attract would know immediately the ep was a repeat and wouldn’t tune in.

  2. I have nothing against Ten playing more Simpsons repeats, but out of all the episodes they have available, why the hell did they have to play that damn song/dance clipshow?!

  3. I’d say the days of filling the evening with Simpsons and Law and Order repeats, and getting millions of viewers, are well and truly over.

Here’s an idea Ten – why not try PUTTING ON SOMETHING NEW?!?!?!

  4. What the hell were they expecting?! They played a CLIPSHOW episode of The Simpsons at 7.30pm. And the ads for Criminal Intent were awful (i.e. “God, those animals”). You call that acting? 😛

  5. Apart from ER there is nothing I watch on TV at the momment. I have been watching Damages with Glenn Close and Saving Grace with Holly Hunter via download and these are both great shows. I think all the networks have boring shows on at the moment compared to Feb-Jun.
