  1. Wed has become one of the toughest nights on the box, with ABC comedies and 4 series that are screened fairly swiftly after their US outings (House, Prison Break, Life, Damages).

Certainly Prison Break hasn’t been helped by the poor Las Vegas lead in.

So far Bionic Woman is doing ok though not spectacularly, and I suspect it will slip.

Any “fasttracking” of Viva Laughlin also backfired for Nine, which could have scheduled it more strategically if it wasn’t direct to our screens.

  2. For something as widely publicised as the fast-tracking of Prison Break, it’s really not doing well at all.

How long is it going to last?

It’s funny really, House is just about the only ‘fasttracked’ show to be doing even remotely well. Obviously the whole idea isn’t all its cracked up to be.

  3. It’s not doing well enough for TEN to include it in their Sunday ratings info, nor to make the week’s Top 100 shows which last week bottomed out at 685,000.

    6. Election debate 2007 (9, ABC) 2.33m

When the end of year figures are tallied don’t expect to see the Debate listed at #6, because it is two networks combined.

  5. Hi David,

So 2.3 million people (roughly) watched the debate on free-to-air. Throw in a few more on pay; and however many listened on radio; and maybe even a few on-line – it’s a big number for something the public supposedly aren’t interested in.

Where does 2.3 million put it in the ‘most watched all year’ table ?

    (Thanks for the site).
