Full seasons: Chuck, Life.

NBC has given two of its newest dramas the greenlight for full seasons: Chuck and Life.

Chuck is to air on Nine in 2008 while Life has already screened on TEN.

“Both shows are hitting their stride creatively, have developed loyal audiences and offer unlimited potential to grow throughout the season,” said NBC’s Ben Silverman.

Chuck is a sci-fi created by Josh Schwartz (The OC, Gossip Girl) about an “average computer-whiz-next-door” who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend, a former CIA agent, which happens to embed the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. The pilot was directed by McG.

Schwartz has described it as Alias meets The Office. But it’s star Zachary Levy says it’s a mix of The Bourne Supremacy and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

Meanwhile no word on the fate of Bionic Woman and Journeyman, also from NBC.

  1. Great news about Life. I disliked it after the pilot, but have grown very fond of it, and both Damien Lewis and the wonderful Sarah Shahi are amazing in it.

Now, all we need is for the writers’ strike to end so they can actually MAKE the rest of the season…

As for Bionic Woman, I wonder if it’s ripped off its last Alias plot already…
