Axed: The 4400, Dead Zone

Sci fi series The 4400 and The Dead Zone are both dead in the water, having been axed in America on the cable USA Network.

The 4400, which premiered terrifically in Australia before dropping away just as quickly, has had a chequered past here. It last appeared in 4am timeslots on TEN, and returns tonight on TEN HD in repeats.

The Dead Zone was also axed in the US after six seasons. More encouragingly the cable network is proceeding with TEN shows The Starter Wife, Psych, Burn Notice and Monk which is likely to form part of TEN HD.

  1. Totally agree about the 4400. The last season was especially good.

Would be good if they had a tv movie so we know how it all ended, but know it is never going to happen.

Guess we will never know 🙁

  2. Disappointing to hear about The Dead Zone – I actually enjoyed this show until Ch9 made a mess of it that I never saw past the first couple of episodes of the second season.
Well, there is always the dvd!!!

  3. The 4400 was so good these last two seasons, now we’ll never now how it was supposed to end (I won’t spoil it for those who don’t download them).

Do you think a one-off tv movie is out of the question to wrap things up?
