Who saves UK Xmas

The Doctor Who xmas special “Voyage of the Damned” has now aired in the UK in which Kylie Minogue plays Astrid, a waitress, aboard the Titanic.
The special was the talk of media in the UK where Christmas night television is a big tradition.
But the last surviving member of the real Titanic, 95yo Millvina Dean, criticised the exploitation of the ship as entertainment. “The Titanic was a tragedy which tore so many families apart. I lost my father and he lies on that wreck. I think it is disrespectful to make entertainment of such a tragedy,” she said.
A BBC Spokesperson said, “No offence was intended. Voyage of the Damned is set on a spaceship called The Titanic and not a boat.”
Doubtless basking in her return to acting, Minogue is said to be holidaying in Melbourne with family.
Meanwhile Russell T. Davies has watered down rumours of Jennifer Saunders as a prospective female Doctor, saying “That is b*****ks. They sit there and make things up. I can tell you it’s pure invention. We have never approached her, never spoken to her, never met her.”

This is yet another brilliant Doctor Who episode … and Kylie greatly exceeded my expectations! Her acting has been pretty dodgy over the years but she was excellent here and loved her character … hope they find an excuse to bring her back in the future, she would be an exceptional companion! Also some great interview and behind the scenes stuff in the associated Doctor Who Confidential as well … not to mention the exciting trailers for 2008 seasons of Doctor Who and Torchwood!!!
Jack!
It also got 12.2 million watching in the UK, the highest ratings the show has had since City of Death back in ’79.
Well she better not see that episode of Futurama titled “A Flight to Remember”…
