Rove off till mid March

Ratings may return on February 10, but Rove won’t be back on air until mid-March.

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? will return even later, with filming the 2nd series to commence on 28th April.

McManus has just returned from a trip to the UK with girlfriend Tasma Walton where he met with nature historian David Attenborough.

Rove has previously referred to Attenborough as his “Moby Dick” of most wanted interviews, says news.com.au. The pair had previously only spoken via satellite.

“The fans would probably rather me have Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts, but I would really like to sit and have a chat with him,” McManus once said in an interview.

McManus works closely with the Flora and Fauna International, one of the world’s oldest conservation organisations, of which Attenborough is a patron.

Of course a delayed return will also need to factor in Easter non-ratings, this year beginning very early on March 16. TEN has already flagged movies to fill the 9pm slot.

Meanwhile Fifth Grader is currently auditioning for new kids until February 15.
