Following on from news that Temptation model Scott McGregor will host new motoring show Blood Sweat and Gears on Fox8, it appears he may have left the Nine camp entirely.
McGregor admitted he made it known to Nine that he was keen to sink his teeth into something a bit more challenging.
“They told me that they didn’t want to just throw me into the deep end,” he told news.com.au
“There were a couple of offers, to do things like those late-night game shows. But it wasn’t really me.”
But he admitted he didn’t rush out to tell his Nine bosses. “I didn’t say anything about it. The first anyone has mentioned it was the Christmas party and my (Nine) bosses were really happy for me, which was a relief. Maybe they realised they could have thrown me in the deep end after all.”
In his new venture, seven finalists will compete in a series of challenges that will determine Australia’s best car driver over eight weeks. The grand final is played out in front of a crowd of 50,000 car lovers at the annual Spring Nationals in Melbourne.
Blood, Sweat and Gears premieres January 18 on FOX8.
