Double serve of Ramsay for Melbourne

Channel Nine has had to make some changes to its schedule to adjust for the fact that Underbelly is not screening in Victoria.

Next week it planned to premiere Cashmere Mafia at 9:30pm after the second week of Underbelly. Quite sensibly, the network doesn’t want to have to change that, so it has had to be creative in addressing the 8:30pm timeslot.

Noticing the popularity of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA, Nine will double the servings of the reality show in Melbourne only. It will now screen at 9:30pm on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.

CSI: Miami moves to 8:30pm on Wednesdays in Melbourne, effective next week. The switch means the nightly national rating for the shows will reflect different territories.

It’s good news for Gordon Ramsay fans, but frustrating for CSI viewers. The legal situation for Nine must be a headache for programming, who need to get these shows back in sync across the borders as soon as the powers that be allow.

  1. Would of preferred Underbelly, obviously that ain’t gonna happen, for now anyway, so what’s the next best thing? A Dbl dose of Gordon Ramsay in a week, I am enjoying the US version of Hells’s Restaurant which nine have been airing the last 2 weeks.
