NBC: Scrubs isn’t going anywhere

US network NBC is now crying foul over reports that Scrubs is on the move to ABC. The show, produced by ABC for NBC, is purported to be switching networks as the two studios try to resolve the comedy’s post-strike 6 episodes.
NBC Entertainment / Universal Media Studios co-chair Marc Graboff said ABC Studios would be in breach of contract and would take appropriate legal action.
“NBC has a license agreement with ABC Studios, which includes a right of first negotiation and first refusal to extend the series term beyond this season,” Graboff said.
“We’re living under the terms of this license agreement, and we expect ABC Studios to do the same.”
Meanwhile, ABC Studios execs were scrambling to respond to rumours that a deal had already been done. The studio hasn’t commented on rumours that discussions have commenced between the two studios.
NBC, on the other hand, believes that it is still in talks with ABC to decide how to resolve the seventh – and what was believed to be the final – season of Scrubs.
Should the comedy continue, it would be with the entire cast – including star Zach Braff. He signed a rich deal with ABC Studios last spring that made him one of the top-paid actors on TV.

yay for scrubs 18 more eps would be heaps good …NBC sucks….anyone know when scrubs will be back on in australia i know its on sundy mornings any idea when new eps are coming?
I just wish NBC would show the last few episodes so it can end properly.
Friday Night Lights won’t be back on NBC due to low ratings, but they are in talks to shift it to another network, possibly The CW or TNT.
All the drama surrounding Scrubs during its final season (what with the final episodes being pushed back and all these behind-the-scenes conflicts) must be annoying for fans. I didn’t particularly enjoy this show, but I caught a rerun of it on a Saturday afternoon on Ch.7. and it wasn’t as bad as I remembered it to be. Still, 7 seasons is an extremely good run, and it may be time for them to call it a day.
NBC is starting to annoy me with its not filming final episodes of Scrubs & Las Vegas, yet doesnt want ABC to have Scrubs, either give it a proper ending or let it go elsewhere.
and god only knows what will happen with Friday Night Lights
