Returning: Cane

One of the shows TEN pulled off air in summer is moving across to TEN HD.

Cane is scheduled to return 10:30pm Wednesday March 19.

The series starring Jimmy Smits, Nestor Carbonell and Rita Moreno will repeat from the first episode, which should provide a chance for new viewers to join from the start.

13 episodes of the CBS drama were produced before the writers’ strike.

Although there is no clear-cut future for the show, CBS has reportedly said the show is on hiatus -which is at least better than the axe.

  1. I am from the latin community and I found Cane refreshing. Once too often this happens when a shows just “disappears” from a lineup. This is the main reason I tend to stay on the cable channels. Getting burned by not even notifying the shows fans that it won’t be returning. Maybe maybe not-has cost cbs a viewer if Cane does not return.

  2. Props to Channel 10 for treating their viewers with a fair share of decency. I didn’t enjoy this show, I thought it was boring and gave up on it after episode 1, but the fact that 10 is airing it in its entirety for any viewers who enjoyed it is really well done. At least they’re making full use of their HD network for some excellent series with less mainstream appeal that probably wouldn’t do so well on the normal 10 network, which is more than I can say for 7HD. All they have is an up-late talkshow, Brainiac and Day Break, although to be fair Day Break is one of the best shows in existence.

  3. It’s all very well of TEN to do this but regional viewers of SC10 do not get most of TEN HD, and don’t look like receiving at least till mid-year.
