Dannii to judge on It Takes Two

Dannii Minogue will take a guest judging role on next Tuesday’s 80s special of It Takes Two.

Back in Oz for the second season of Australia’s Got Talent, she will fill in for judge Ross Wilson.

Dannii Minogue joins the IT TAKES TWO judging panel for a one night only 80’s Gold special on Tuesday March 11 at 7.30pm on Seven.

Ironically, she will be judging alongside Amanda Pelman, who signed Kylie Minogue to Mushroom Records back in the 80’s.

Press Release:

Dannii forged a formidable reputation last year as a judge and mentor on the UK smash hit The X Factor. Dannii also returns soon to Seven’s highly successful variety show, Australia ’s Got Talent, where she is joined by Red Symons and Tom Burlinson to judge some of the country’s freshest and undiscovered talent.

Having worked in the entertainment industry since she was seven, Dannii has endeared herself to Australians on the family talent show Young Talent Time. Since then she has worked a staggering 18 years in the music industry with 20 hit singles and 4 top selling albums, performed the lead role in Notre-Dame De Paris in London’s West End and toured Australia in the phenomenally successful arena stage show Grease, starring as Rizzo to over 450,000 people.

Dannii is the perfect choice to fill in for former Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock frontman, Ross Wilson, particularly for the 80’s Gold special.

“I’m so excited to take part on It Takes Two as a guest judge. It’s good family fun and impossible not to be hooked on this show. It’s going to be strange giving a score rather than a yes, no or a buzz! FYI: any daggy shoulder pads, satin shirts or big perms are sure to score the contestants bonus points with me!” said Dannii.

Ross Wilson will return to the judge’s desk in the next episode of It Takes Two.

All seven couples will perform an 80’s Gold classic from Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Robert Palmer to Bryan Adams and Tina Turner for next Tuesday night’s It Takes Two at 7.30pm on Channel Seven.

It Takes Two is a BBC format, and is a co-production between BBC Worldwide and Seven.

  1. leo_melbourne, when you met her did yu avoid eye contact? and did you say how well Kylie is doing?
You say that and that nice lady goes away real fast 🙂

  2. I have actually met Dannii several times over the years (recently a week ago), she is one of the most friendly down to earth stars I have met (& I have met alot). She’s been performing since she was 7 years old – has done acting, tv presenting, musical theatre, modelling & of course her singing career (since 1990, a year in pop is a long time but coming into her 18th year certainly proves her talent). Another string to her bow is the tv judge, passing on her years of experience to todays talent – she certainly has what it takes to do so!
I can’t wait to see Dannii on It Takes two, watch the ratings soar!!!
