Second housemate for Big Brother

Big Brother has announced the second contestant for the 2008 season. She is Dixie, a 21yo indigenous woman from NSW.

“I’m not just a black fella. I’m an Aussie just like everybody else. I still cry when I hear the National Anthem,” she said.

“I’m an obnoxious person, a little bit rude, sometimes arrogant.”

Dixie was revealed tonight in promotions screening during Bondi Rescue, and also leaked in the Adelaide Advertiser today.

On Sunday TEN revealed its first housemate, a 53yo grandmother, Terri. Both also now appear on the BB website.

  1. You are an embarrassment gold coast guy. You think someones worth depends on whether YOU think they are acceptable to have sex with?? That’s not only laughable but immature as well.

    Viewers want real conversations and interactions and even though we have to put up with Vyle and Jackie 0 I have some hope there will be a bit more substance this year.

    Beautiful, big and black is not often seen on television and is confronting to some (see post #2). History says she may not last long but a woman of substance has to be an improvement on vacuous and plastic!

  2. That’s a pretty horrible thing to say about a person gold coast guy! She looks like a nice person, is she the first aboriginal in Big Brother?

    I’m glad so far they’ve moved away from bimbos and himbos but I can’t imagine Ten not putting a couple in to appease audiences!

  4. lukeruss06, If you are talking about WIN Television WA? Yes they are showing Big Brother but at 11:30pm weeknights. Oh well! at least it’s on.
