Just be glad you don’t live in America. They’re about to get Melanie Brown and Joey Fatone barging into their offices. Yes the US is getting its own version of The Singing Office.
A Dutch format, it aired in Australia to a disappointing reception on FOX8 hosted by Nick Giannopoulos and Julia Morris.
Now the two former girl / boy band singers will team up for this reality hybrid. Singing Bee was not announced as part of the NBC Fall season, effectively freeing up Fatone. It will air on cable network TLC (“The Learning Channel” -kinda ironic really).
“It’s not like American Idol or Dancing With the Stars, ” Brown told The Associated Press while filming at the Long Beach Airport. “It’s not a serious competition. It gives people a break from their everyday lives to have some fun with their co-workers.”
Both also appeared on Dancing With the Stars and have agreed to return for the show’s 100th episode.
