Wednesday night’s Big Brother special with Carson Kressley did so well for TEN it appears to be doing the idea again.
The special with the presenter of How to Look Good Naked reached 1.24m viewers -that’s higher than both the 7pm daily edition and Sunday’s eviction show.
The Foxtel EPG has a listing for Carson crashes the Big Brother Closet 2 at 7:30pm next Wednesday, effectively pushing both Rules of Engagement and Back to You out for the night.
It also lists two episodes of House at 8:30 and 9:30pm -completely messing with viewers who came back for the new episode this week. No fair!
Carson is a director’s dream. He managed to go into the house without the benefit of a floor manager and ran the show with his wit and unique character. It was a pop culture moment frozen in time when ‘Corey met Carson.’
There is speculation on BehindBigBrother that the special has already been filmed well in advance of its airing date next Wednesday (that may require some fancy editing subject to whoever is evicted).
TEN is obviously worried about the State of Origin match screening at 7:30pm on Nine in all states -a first for the game.

I meant, on hiatus until Big Brother is over. It would save a lot of scheduling annoyances for both shows’ viewers.
They may as well put RoE and BTY on hiatus until Big Brother is over at the rate they’re going
I guess I’m the only one who thought last nights Carson special was a total snoozer.
I was hoping Carson would actually go into the house and party for the night, but 1 hour of ‘you’d look good with this’ got old pretty fast for me. Still I did watch it to the end and no doubt will watch part 2 😉
lol Highly doubt Carson would give up his very successful career in the US, the cash, parties etc, to come to Australia and work on the declining, in its last seasons Big Brother.
His pay would be the same as the entire budget for the production.
I will not be surprised if roosterboy60 is right. SOO draws big audiences on the East Coast but is untried in Perth and Adelaide.
Carson would be a fantastic host choice for Big Brother. Hell, even Fitzy, Bree and Mikey would be great… as compared to the incumbents.
Don’t think it’s the smartest move by Channel Ten there. The Carson special was great last night but they would have been better off doing that on the 28th…obviously if Carson was still in Australia.
The Origin will outrate it in the Eastern States at least – but as a fan of Big Brother I hope it rates ok.
