TEN takes blame in Hall of Fame fumble

Channel TEN has apologised to angry viewers who missed out on seeing the presentations at the end of the Hall of Fame match on Saturday night.

“Network TEN would like to sincerely apologise to football fans in Melbourne and Perth for missing the post-match presentations following the Hall of Fame Tribute Match on Saturday night,” said a spokesperson.

“It was always our intention to cover the post match celebrations however a technical timing error resulted in our coverage ending in Melbourne and Perth one segment earlier than planned.

“The game starting 7½ minutes late didn’t help but we’re not blaming that on what occurred. We should have stayed with the coverage for an additional segment to take in all the post match celebrations but due to technical error at our end we left the coverage earlier than planned.”

  1. slydoggie, I, and many other F1 Fans would love F1 on PayTV, at least we would get every lap, instead of having upto 15 laps edited out, in favour of late night cricket.

F1 rates even less this year because many F1 Fans have now abandoned free to air, and have started to utilise other means to watch F1, we now have to break the law and watch illegal streams.

If TEN cut 15 minutes out of a football match, there would be mass anarchy, TEN would be bombed, and Blackley would be assassinated, such is the sort of fan AFl garners

  2. F1fan: Would you rather pay $50 a month to view on Pay TV? If not, be grateful that your sport is even on FTA as we all know it rates bugger all outside of the AGP, even when on a Sunday Arvo as the Chinese and Japanese GP’s have been in the past.

  3. Wow, I didn’t even know I missed something. I was switching between the movie on Ch 7 and the game. I found the movie more entertaining.
