Choir wins for Opera House event

The Choir of Hard Knocks has picked up yet another award, winning Best Special Event at the Helpmann Awards. The prize was for the choir’s performance at the Sydney Opera House last year.

It follows other accolades for the popular group including an ARIA and a Logie Award.

Other notable TV names to win at the premier live performance awards include:

Shane Jacobsen for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Guys and Dolls), David Collins & Shane Dundas, The Umbilical Brothers for Best Comedy Performer, Richard Roxburgh for Best Male Actor in a Play (Toy Symphony), David Campbell for Best Performance in an Australian Contemporary Concert and Julie Forsyth for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play (Exit the King).
