Switch to Perth ACA host

Perth’s local A Current Affair has hit a bump before it has launched with news that presenter Sonia Vinci (pictured, left) has pulled out of the hosting role to be a stay-at-home mum.

“I just figured that I couldn’t give them the commitment it really deserved and I want to spend more time with the kids at the moment,” she told WAToday.

“I have enjoyed having more time with them over the last few months and just want to do that for the time being.”

Vinci will be replaced by news reporter Louise Momber (pictured, right) as the face of A Current Affair in Perth.

WIN Television announced local versions of ACA for WA and SA in June.

Perth’s Director of News Adrian Beattie said, “Louise is a talented and dedicated TV journalist. She has impressed all of us since she joined the Nine News team and through her work on WIN News she proved herself to be a natural TV presenter – bringing a mixture of warmth and professionalism to the news desk. I have no doubt she will be a great success in her new role.”

Beattie remains with Nine.
