Airdate: Castle, The Winner. Returning: Murder Squad.

nathan-fillionNew US series Castle premieres on Seven at 9:30pm Sunday May 17 following Bones. As previously indicated, it features Nathan Fillion as a mystery novelist who learns that a real-world copycat killer has started staging murders based on scenes from his novels.

The Winner screens from 12am Tuesday May 26th (Monday night). This is a 2007 FOX comedy about a successful man named Glen Abbott (played by Rob Corddry) looking back to the time when he was in his thirties and living with his parents and his path to becoming the richest man in Buffalo, NY.

It is followed by the return of Murder Squad at 12:30am: When a 76 year old woman is mugged and attacked in a quiet London area, the police immediately know the suspect when she tells them that the mugger used the phrase ‘excuse me ladies’.

  1. And if you are going to record The Winner at 12am, be sure to set your recorder to start from 11.50pm, and 12.20am for Murder Squad. Ch 7 runs about 10 minutes early by that time of the night. Up to 15 minutes early on 7HD after 1am.

  2. Should do weel with Bones as a lead in, they are very compatible and share a similar tone. After it’s performance this week in the US, it also looks quite likely it will get a second season.

  3. Castle is pretty good, but Nathan Fillion shows rarely succeed, so I’m not holding out much hope for it to last very long. It doesn’t help that the dynamic between the leads is almost exactly the same as Bones, The Mentalist, Lie To Me, and a few others.

  4. good, bones & castle are a perfect match. and bones is a really powerful rater atm.

now it’s future depends on the sucess of harpers island.
