Deal’s “risky” week

Deal or No Deal has another themed week coming, as it seeks to stave off the competition from Hot Seat.

deal no dealDeal or No Deal has another themed week coming, as it seeks to stave off the competition from Hot Seat.

Since GO! ratings are now being broken out, Deal has resumed its title as winner of the stoush. But there is also a feeling of fatigue, as the show tries to vary the drama behind opening the umpteenth briefcase. No matter how skilled Andrew O’Keefe is at drawing out the drama (and he is) it’s a challenge that has had a long reign.

So next week it’s bringing us a “Risky Dealers” week.

Here’s how it unfolds.

Monday 7 September
Rosie’s Tarot cards help her navigate through the cases. Will her confidence in the cards lead her to fortune? Or is this fortune teller risking it all for nothing?

Tuesday 8 September
Nineteen year old Todd has never seen so much money in his life. He and his mate are tempted time and time again, but he just doesn’t want to stop playing. Will he go too far?

Wednesday 9 September
Charlene will have you holding your breath when she gambles her way through the podium. This gutsy player isn’t afraid to chance her offers… will she know when it’s time to take the money?

Thursday 10 September
Daniel is a uni student determined to seize his biggest offer possible for a trip around Australia. How much will he risk? Too much or not enough?

Friday 11 September
Rosie’s nerve hangs by a thread as she weaves her way through each round. Her offers climb in sync with her panic. How much can she jeopardise for a chance at the big prize?

It airs 5:30pm weeknight on Seven.

  1. Why instead of crap like Deal can’t they find some comedies to fill an entire hour between 5 and 6pm.
They should also ditch Mash while at it How many of us find a show about the Korean War relevant in 21st Century Australia

  2. I can’t believe that I actually used to like this inane show. I don’t know whether it is the sheer boringness of watching people open briefcases or the annoyance that is Andrew O’Keefe, but it certainly doesn’t deserve to rate the way it does. Instead I watch the teen sitcoms on ABC 1, a far better alternative to the previous offering, the vacuous Elliot Spencer, who has now been bumped up to the little kids timeslot where he belongs. Well done ABC.

  3. Ha i just realised his initials are AOk. He should exploit that a little more…

Yeah other than the tarro cards it doesnt really sound much different, everyones nerve is always “hang[ing] by a thread” as they are “determined to seize his biggest offer possible” and they always “gamble [t]he[i]r way through the podium”

    Nothing new…

  4. I honestly can’t stand this show.Damn Shame Though Program Classification Laws Restrict What can be put on at that time of night.
A better choice of programme to lead in to the news instead of Deal or No Deal would be American Dad or Family Guy or any other comedies one cares to name,
