John Farnham is set to make an appearance in the Hey Hey its Saturday reunion.
Farnsy, who is currently on his Live by Demand tour, was a regular on the show, including at the time of his Whispering Jack comeback.
His appearances have been so numerous he is one of several ‘unofficial’ members of the Hey Hey family.
The news on Farnham’s inclusion was leaked by host Daryl Somers on radio.
Farnham is performing on September 29th in Brisbane, but he has no public gig on October 6th, the night of the second reunion show.

Yes!!!! The Jack is definitely coming!!!!!
Is TV Tonight onto the latest change of night of the return of HHIS? According to Facebook they will now be showing the reunion specials on the Wednesday night, instead of Tuesday.
Slap bang up against the premiere of “Celebrity Masterchef” …. best of luck in the ratings Daryl!! I’ll be watching, only because I can’t stand Anna Bligh on the Masterchef!
Is BundyNelle onto the latest changes in TV Tonight? Posted hours ago in Programming.
nothing personal to anybody, but if you go out and publicy say your retired, stay retired, otherwise say nothing and just keep going
The fact that this guy keeps coming out of retirement cheapens the experience for the people that went to his shows who genuinely thought he was going to retire. I suppose he does deserve to be on the reunion show, however if the Hey, Hey it Saturday show revives (Shudders!) hopefully new talent will be allowed to perform regularly and those spots not hogged by people who should have retired gracefully years ago.
Jesus. Have you seen the horrible ads Nine have been running for this? “You’d be un-Australian to miss it!” Yeah, that’s how Nine is plugging this horrible idea, by invoking patriotism… Pathetic. As for Farnham;’s inclusion, that just ads to the sense of a bunch of has-beens desperately trying to relive their glory days, and those glory days weren’t especially glorious to begin with. Just proves how out of touch Nine has become.
I’m 27, and can’t wait for this. Many happy memories from Saturday nights at home in front of Hey Hey.
mikeys: it’s not a “remake” it’s a reunion. Of course they’re going to have the old regulars and guests on the show.

So is anybody under 40 going to watch this?
i do remember him always being on but no where near as much as Rhonda Burchmore playing Celebrity Head-i may be mistaken but wasn’t there a period she was on every other week?
What about Jo Beth Taylor? Has she been asked?
Surely Jackie and Ding Dong are in?
go hey hey!
Love the 80’s, it was when we had telly that was entertaining and live, unlike the dribble that is served up as light entertainment today !
I thought he retired?
Was waiting for this to be announced.
Saw him on Sunday night he was great!!
You’d think the remake was going to have current stars, not has beens from the 80’s…
Oh. My. God. Did I fall asleep and wake up back in the 1980s?
