It took just 3 hours for Nine to react to the death of Patrick Swayze, by adding the movie Dirty Dancing to its schedule.
It will play at 9:40pm Saturday night in Melbourne in place of the movie Sphere.
At this stage the movie SWAT will still play in Sydney and Brisbane following the Rugby League Finals: 1st Semi Final.
Hands up who has the movie Ghost? TEN?
A reminder that Swayze’s final TV series The Beast airs tonight on ABC2 at 8:45pm.
Swayze fans might also catch The View on Wednesday when Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters are likely to comment on his passing.

It is sad hearing about his death, especially to such a difficult battle of cancer. I know the hardships of going through it, for all parties involved. My great aunt just died of Pancreatic cancer, and her sister died of it several years ago. It is such a painful thing to watch, knowing that they are suffering and even with the care of a nurse, it is just knowing that their days are numbered that makes it so hard. Prayers go out to his family.
I thought 7 had Dirty Dancing
Hopefully Nine airs this in place of SWAT in the NRL markets as well!
RIP Patrick.
If Ten does have the rights to Ghost, it can show the movie at least in Perth this Saturday, since the AFL preliminary final telecast finishes at 9pm.
Wonder if The Beast will rate better this week? I’m sure there are many out there that didn’t even know it was on ABC2.
Called it!
