Independent production company WTFN, which is behind such shows as Talk To The Animals, Mercurio’s Menu and Bondi Vet is adding a Sydney office to its enterprises.
The Melbourne-based company will open an office at Bondi Beach to be headed up by Ben Ulm, formerly of FremantleMedia, as Head of Factual Entertainment.
“We’re delighted to recruit one of Australia’s most highly regarded factual producers to head our new Sydney operations,” WTFN Managing Director, Daryl Talbot said.
“Ben’s experience executive producing high-end series will be a great benefit for WTFN as we roll out several new productions during the next 12 months.
“We also know Ben will make a major contribution to our creative team and help further expand our international client base.”
Ulm was Executive Producer for series 3 and 4 of The Farmer Wants A Wife, and has 25 years experience in factual and documentary programs for Australian & American broadcasters (National Geographic, Discovery, Discovery Travel) and British broadcaster Channel 4.
Ulm said, “There’s a lot to like about this company and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team in Melbourne and claiming credit for the exciting projects they already have in development. But in all seriousness, I’m grateful to WTFN for the chance to be part of this expansion. I think we’ll have a very busy and productive year ahead of us.”

Why The “Freak” Not? 😛
i though it was just a random sequence of letters that have no significant meaning, and was probably devised before “WTF” got a meaning of its own 🙂
Lol I would so laugh if it’s a bunch of old people who created that network who have no idea what it means 😛
It’s not…
Perfect description of Oemcke’s run on Wheel.
I’ve always wondered this… but what does WTFN stand for? Was someone having a laugh when they named this company?
I think so! WTF Network?
