Hayley Lewis will host The Biggest Loser in 2010.
The former Olympian spoke to TEN News tonight, taking time to reflect on her own weight issues.
“I guess because I was on TV in a pair of togs, where you pretty much can’t cover up if you put on weight…. there were things written about me and about my weight… it’s just hard as a teenager,” she told TEN News.
A decade ago she became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centres.
“I was embarrassed about how I looked,” she said.
Lewis replaces former host Ajay Rochester who fronted the reality series on TEN for four seasons.
She will be chatting later tonight to The 7PM Project.
TV Tonight tipped Lewis as the future host as far back as August.

Excellent choice! Who are you people? How can you not know who Hayley Lewis is? And to the person who said “c grade celeb” get a grip, she’s a friggin Olympian for crying out loud! You people…
A pretty classy choice i think.
I don’t know who she is. Looking her up on Wikipedia, her heydey seems to have been before I moved to Australia.
But that’s okay; I don’t need to know who she is, as long as she can follow her script.
Can’t wait to hear her first say that classic line “it’s time to cut the cheese!”…I mean “it’s time to cut the fat!”. 😉 Can Hayley deliver it with a straight face? Time will tell.
I’m excited to watch this now. Jackie Oh! Thank god it was not her.
Who the? Boooooo!!
Clever move; someone who’s shared “the journey” themselves
Was never going to be Jackie O
It should have been Symantha Perkins!
..another B-Celeb Ch10?? Just can the damn show and put on some Non-Reality TV Crap!
She’s just as wooden as Ajay
Really think she should be given a chance to host first before we get too carried away….
I was hoping for Allison or Sarah Wilson. Hope she does a good job. Best of luck too her.
Good luck Hayley. Good choice I reckon.

If channel 10 wanted to kill off The Biggest Loser then Jackie O would be the perfect choice. What a great track record she has:
“Undercover Angels”, “The Nation”, “Surprise, Surprise, Gotcha” and she helped see of the end Big Brother – what a awesome talent she is!!!
never hear of her but probably a good choice- wont bring to much of a profile to the show (neither did AJ really) and will probably be a lot like Sarah Wilson who no one really knew either.
I much prefer this type of casting as it lets the contestants really shine and be the focus as the host doesnt bring too much baggage and overshadow everything. Looking forward to it.
Thank goodness it wasnt Jackie O, she’s the kiss of death for any TV show she hosts. Best of luck Hayley!
Isn’t she the Lucozade chick??
Woeful choice!!
Should’ve been Jackie O!!
It should have been Kate Ritchie.
who the hell is she! never heard of her, looks like a bit of a dud
I don’t think we were in any danger of being landed with Jackie O.
Who?
I hope Hayley does a good job but it should have been someone else.
Thank God it’s not Jackie O….
Though I think the biggest thing will be the perception that she’s not struggled with weight loss…
I think I would’ve preferred Alison, as a former contestant she knows first hand exactly what the contestants are going through!
phew i was a tiny bt worries that it was going to be jackie like i have said before i have nothing against her i actually think she is a good host but the poor girl just dosent have much luck as a tv host i am a bit dissaponted that it was not alison
Was hoping for Alison to host but Im happy with Hayley Lewis as host, she seems much nicer than Ajay!
