Meanwhile the Balibo soundtrack took out an award yesterday as Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album:
beating other contenders including the East of Everything and Samson & Delilah soundtracks in ARIA’s Artisan and Fine Arts Awards.

  1. What have Kate Ritchie & Gyton Gumby got to do with music? Another ARIA w***fest – we should be having a music awards to be proud of, not embarrassed of and disinterested in.

  2. There’s controversy over Ladyhawke being nominated? And there never is when Kylie Minogue gets nominated for a record written and produced by Englishmen, recorded in London for a British record label with British money? Or when record companies rush out a final token single from an artist’s album of the previous year just so they can get nominations despite having released nothing new?

    Really, the ARIA Awards rules are made up to suit the member labels of ARIA. Integrity doesn’t come into it.

  3. Although they win Thursdays, wouldn’t they want this to rate over 1.2? Hell, because of the 11PM finish it’d probably end up getting 900k-1mil… Still, would love to be proved wrong.

  4. Oh joy.. Nine are airing it in one of the lower rating nights of the week. Wouldn’t it be better to have it on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday?

    @TV Tragic:
    What’s so controversial about that? People annoy me so much..
