The Farmer Wants a Wife is now casting singles for its fifth season.
True love, it seems, can indeed be facilitated by reality television. The Nine series has notched up one marriage, one baby and two engagements.
There are 10 farmers in the race, including 2 females. Six of them will make it to the on-air series, but all applications received for all candidates are forwarded regardless.
Each of the successful farmers will pick six men or women for a speed date. Three potential wives or husbands will then be chosen for a 10-day farm-stay.
The farmers include:
Nathan, 26yo from WA.
Shaun, 31, from WA.
Tyson, 25 from Qld.
Becky, 34 from SA.
Mick, 38 from NSW.
Maree, 28 from Qld.
Marc, 30 from NSW.
Jamie, 40 from WA.
Graham, 39 from NSW.
Devon, 25 from Vic.

The website will be live until 9.00am Monday, December 7th, 2009.

It would be cool if a gay guy entered I’m a straight Aussie chick but I love gay guys I would love some as bff
thats right David if there was one on the show and looked just as hot as the one in the picture that you posted then expect a rush of bears, twinks and the like to apply… which in other words will be a nightmare for the show and channel 9 editors to keep in check !
nice, 3 farmers from WA for once. I think we’ve had about 2 or 3 in total over the seasons!
It is about time that we got a gay male farmer in the mix … will that ever happen?
Jack!
I guess if a single gay farmer ever volunteers…..
